IMPORTANT EMERGENCY SERVICE DISCLAIMERS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THIS APPLICATION PROVIDES EMERGENCY DISPATCH ASSISTANCE BUT IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR CALLING LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICES DIRECTLY.

THIS APPLICATION IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR 911 OR LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBERS. In life-threatening emergencies, always call your local emergency number directly when possible.
LOCATION ACCURACY: While we strive to provide accurate location information to emergency responders, GPS and network-based location services may not always be precise. Factors such as indoor environments, network coverage, device capabilities, and environmental conditions may affect location accuracy.
SERVICE AVAILABILITY: This service requires an active internet connection and may not function during network outages, in areas with poor coverage, or if your device battery is depleted.
RESPONSE TIME: Emergency response times depend on local authorities and emergency services. Global Filipino acts only as an intermediary to facilitate contact with emergency responders and cannot guarantee response times.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES: We rely on third-party emergency dispatch centers and local authorities to respond to alerts. We cannot control or guarantee their availability, response time, or quality of service.
USER RESPONSIBILITIES: You are responsible for maintaining accurate profile information, especially your emergency contact number, and ensuring your device has sufficient battery and network connectivity.

Emergency Dispatch Service Details

The Global Filipino App provides the following emergency assistance features:

SOS Alert System: When activated, the app sends your location coordinates and registered information to our partner emergency dispatch centers.
Location Transmission: Your GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude) are transmitted to enable emergency responders to locate you.
Partner Network: We work with verified emergency dispatch centers and local authorities who are equipped to receive and process digital emergency alerts.
Contact Protocol: Emergency responders may contact you via the phone number provided during registration to verify your emergency and provide assistance.

Limitations of Service

Service is currently available only in areas where we have established partnerships with emergency dispatch centers.
The app requires location permissions to function properly. Without location access, emergency responders cannot be directed to your location.
Service effectiveness depends on cellular/WiFi connectivity and GPS signal strength.
Indoor locations, underground areas, or remote locations may affect service accuracy.
The service is intended for genuine emergencies only. Misuse may result in account termination and legal consequences.

Types of Data Collected

Location data: Precise GPS location collected only when SOS is activated, not continuously monitored.
Phone data: Device and phone number information for emergency callback purposes.
Apple ID: Used for secure authentication and account management.
Contact information: Name and emergency contact number for dispatch purposes.
Technical data: Device information, app version, and connection status for service reliability.

Location Data Usage for Emergency Services

How We Use Location Data:

Location data is accessed ONLY when you activate the SOS button.
Your GPS coordinates are immediately transmitted to our emergency dispatch partners.
Location data is shared with emergency responders to facilitate rescue operations.
Historical location data from emergency events may be retained for legal compliance and service improvement.
We do NOT track your location continuously or when the app is not in active emergency mode.

Emergency Data Sharing Protocol

During an emergency activation, the following information is shared with emergency dispatch centers and responders:

Your current GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude)
Your registered name and contact number
Time and date of emergency activation
Device identifier for follow-up if connection is lost
Any additional emergency details you provide

Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Emergency event data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and emergency responders only during active emergencies.

Acceptable Use

By using the Global Filipino App, you agree to:

Use the emergency features only for genuine emergencies
Provide accurate registration information
Keep your contact information updated
Not misuse or abuse the emergency alert system

Liability Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Global Filipino provides this service “as is” without warranties of any kind.
We are not liable for any delays, failures, or inaccuracies in emergency response.
We are not responsible for the actions or inactions of emergency responders.
Users acknowledge that technology limitations may affect service delivery.
We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Global Filipino, its officers, directors, employees, and partners from any claims arising from your use of the service, including misuse of emergency features.

Subscription Terms

Subscription is required for full access to emergency services
Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store
Refunds are subject to Apple’s refund policy
Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taguig City, Philippines.
